eco:Drive is an application that helps improve driving efficiency. It analyses your driving style and helps you use less fuel, reducing your CO2 emissions and saving money.
It shows how efficiently you have driven based on your acceleration, deceleration, gear changes and speed. Tutorials then help you improve your score.

The first of its kind, eco:Drive connects your Fiat car to your PC (via USB), analyses your driving technique and marks it out of 100, providing drivers with a score on the eco:Index. The higher the score, the more efficient the drive. Actual journey data was used to show drivers where their performance was lacking (e.g. gear changes) with tutorials given to help improve in that particular area. All of the data from all drivers was then combined to show the total money and CO2 savings made as a community called eco:Ville.
The navigational area was made flexible to accommodate for any future integrations such as My Car, a self-diagnosis car health-checking tool, which notifies you whenever there are any potential issues with your Fiat.
To raise awareness of ecoDrive, we created a unique driving competition dubbed "eco:Drive GP" which challenged Fiat drivers within Europe to submit their best eco:Index score and compete at being the best eco driver. The most efficient male and female driver were flown out to Italy to compete in a live drive-off for the crown of best eco:Driver. The prize was their very own Fiat 500 Twin Air - the most efficient car in Europe (at the time). The competition had a positive behavioural impact - the average participant's eco:Index improved by 7%.
eco:Drive Live was the natural evolution of eco:Drive. eco:Drive was built at a time when it was ahead of the technology we had available. It relied on drivers remembering to bring along a USB stick, plug it into the car at the start of the journey, remember to take it out at the end of the journey, then plug it into their PC. Through upgraded technology made standard in Fiat cars, eco:Drive Live utilised bluetooth to show drivers how eco-friendly they were driving via their mobile phone, in real-time.

With Europe conquered, it was time to take on the world. ecoDrive Social was a campaign to raise global awareness through use of social media. We produced the concept and storyboard which had to be executed in a way which didn't rely on audio - due to such limitations in most social feeds. The end result was executed by the illustration/animation studio AirSide.
eco:Drive Fleet was specifically designed for fleet managers who wanted to keep track of their fleets collective CO2 emissions and money savings. Managers could identify the best and worst performers where incentives were encouraged those that performed well. The benefit to the business being money savings on fuel and doing their bit to collectively help reduce CO2 emissions.
